Best Namora Decks In Marvel Snap (2024)

From the depths of Atlantis comes the next hero joining the battle as Namora becomes the latest card drop to power the game in Marvel Snap.

A new week is upon us as the next card drop will be heading to Marvel Snap for the current A Blink in Time season. The latest card debuting in-game looks to Atlantis's depths and can empower lone characters once they've come onboard in the all-powerful Namora.

Namora is quite an interesting card release for Marvel Snap as she looks to award players for playing more strategically and with far fewer cards within a single game. If players wonder whether Namora is a reliable ally to include in decks or not strong enough to change the card, we've detailed her card abilities, key synergies, and some decks to try out in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap NamoraCard Abilities Explained

The next card drop is on its way to Marvel Snap for the current season, A Blink in Time, which can be obtained in-game. Coming to the assistance of Namor the Sub-Mariner in defending the depths of Marvel Comics and now Marvel Snap is Namora, who had a massive departure from her comic book origins when she debuted in the MCU film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Namora, the daughter of an Atlantean father and human mother, hails from Atlantis. Like her cousin, Namor, she is a hybrid mutant and shares similar powers!

Nevertheless, Namora, like Namor, is half Atlantean and human and has proven to be a powerful ally and a threat to her enemies. In Marvel Snap, Namora is a five-cost and six-energy card that, when played, triggers her On Reveal ability, which gives +5 Power to cards that are alone at another location.

Essentially, Namora's ability rewards players for playing fewer cards on the board, granting them a buff to their power. Some concerns about this card are building decks around her ability and potential counters; many players have asked if it's worth the time and effort.

As we'll look into that concern in this guide, acquiring this card is pretty straightforward. She'll be available within Spotlight Caches using Spotlight Keys during her release week. During the same period, she can also be acquired from the in-game Shop, where players can spend 6,000 Collector's Tokens on her card.

Now that we've briefly explained the card ability and how to get Namora in Marvel Snap, let's look at some early decks she can be slotted in.

Best Marvel Snap NamoraDecks:Death And Destroy For Namora

As Namora's card ability states explicitly that she gives power to cards alone at other locations, she cannot buff herself even after playing Absorbing Man. Coming up with unique card synergies that play to her strengths and Destroy is one of the best archetypes to factor Namora into decks.

What makes more logical sense in including Namora in a Destroy deck, like this Destroy deck from Marvel Snap content creator ItsGuestGaming, is simply filling up a location with cards before destroying them with Carnage, Killmonger, Venom, and Lady Deathstrike. This allows them to play Namora on Turn 5, and if Knull enters before Turn 6, they can be played in an opposing lane, although they won't get the buff.

There are plenty of card alternatives that can be included in this deck, like adding Deathlok, Arnim Zola, and Nimrod in place of Wolverine, X-23, and Nico Minoru. Either way, this deck allows players to create unique combinations to consolidate other locations before Namora gets onto the board.

If Destroy is not the preferred archetype that fits their playstyle, never fear cos Namora can still be slotted into other unique decks or paired with key synergies. We've briefly mentioned that it would be ill-advised to play Namora then Absorbing Man when, instead, Absorbing Man can be played with other On Reveal cards on Wong.

This deck from Marvel Snap content creator SafetyBlade focuses on building two lanes before playing Namora on Turn 5. This deck gives players one of two strategies: moving cards into separate lanes, utilizing Armor and Colossus, or both.

Since Namora can't buff herself, they'll have to build up two opposing lanes by having a card in each lane before playing Namora on Turn 5 for the buff. This can be followed up by playing Odin on Turn 6 for Namora's ability to be triggered again or playing Doctor Doom or White Tiger to power up the lanes further.

Best Marvel Snap NamoraDecks:Namora Lockdown

Lockdown is a relatively good deck archetype for Namora to be factored into, especially a deck with plenty of strong Ongoing abilities. This allows for unique strategies for building lanes before Namora gets onto the board in this Ongoing Lockdown deck from Marvel Snap content creator Docty.

Some of the interesting plays that could occur are having Jeff the Baby Land Shark in its lane and buffing the lanes with Mister Fantastic and Klaw before playing Namora and Spectrum. Alternatively, they can have Ravonna Renslayer down before having Jeff solo a lane, buff with Mister Fantastic before playing Professor X, andthen Namora and Spectrum.

Similarly, they can have Renslayer down before Professor X in one lane into Mystique in another lane before Klaw, Namora, and Spectrum can be played. Either way, players have several ways of power creeping into locations locked down before Namora can buff the cards and Spectrum to boost their power further but do watch out for Leech, who is currently in the meta and can remove Namora's ability.
