I don't have anything against Bello, but when one of the leads is replaced for a sequel in a franchise like this, it usually means the movie's screenplay isn't up to par. And, indeed, it felt like the filmmakers were more interested in visual effects than they were story. It's one action sequence after the other, with one-dimensional characters in the middle of it all. It tries so hard to be exciting, but The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is just loud & dull.
